During Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, McDonald launched it’s promotional campaign as..usual. One of the street installation caught our attention.

It’s 2 meters tall cubic ‘Cheer box’ that is also linked with McDonald’s CHEER FOR CHINA online mini-site.Inside it was equipped with speaker, interactive screen, internet access, microphone, etc. Consumers or any passengers could just walk in, take a short clip and cheer for the Olympics. Slogan for cheering is I’m lovin’ China Win, which matches with their 2003 Heye & Partner created ‘I’m lovin’ it’. 9,500 clips was collected in a month. Woo, those guys working for snapshot photo booth are way behind the game.

The Olympic mini-site also comes alone with two dancing contests separated for teenagers and kids. You could find the kids’ dancing commercial quite amusing which was also starred by diving gold medal winner Guo Jinjin. In the video, it sings ‘Wanna see the Olympic games? Every child get a chance. Join the CHEER FOR CHINA contest, and make your dreams come true in Beijing.’ The song is kind of too slow, but the dance is well designed.
